Attempted this version for the first time and love the results. I know I have said that I prefer pastry with a crunch but after trying this, I have to agree it's equally good. It's a tradition to serve this during Chinese New Year in Singapore and Malaysia. I am not able to recall where I got the recipe from. You see, I love collecting recipes and I have collected so many, I kind of lost track. But whatever prompted me to have it in the first place, I am glad. A keeper!
